Additional Information:

Levi is a sweet, outgoing puppy who loves to snuggle. Generous with his affection, Levi is always ready with a hug and licks on the face for his favorite humans! He loves to play with people, and is very friendly towards strangers both in the home and on the street. He is a lovable dog who needs some guidance, either from his humans or another dog, but he is very willing to learn! He is a fast learner, and can be taught commands very quickly. Levi already knows Sit, Crate, and Bed, and is currently working on Stay and Lie down. He is doing very well with house training, and he walks well on the leash. Still a puppy, Levi can be mouthy and is working on understanding boundaries in play. He is generally good with other dogs, but needs some work on socialization, especially upon first meeting another dog. Once his excitement settles, Levi is the sweetest pup. Levi will be a wonderful companion in a patient, loving home! Apply today!

If a dog has "NEEDS FOSTER" listed, they are still available for adoption. Information about our current dogs in need of fosters can be found here: http://www.citydogsrescuedc.org/current-dogs-in-need-of-a-foster.html and the application to foster is here: http://www.citydogsrescuedc.org/foster.html.

City Dogs Rescue is a foster based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. We focus on local adoptions in DC and the metro area of Maryland and Virginia. CDR has a thorough adoption process in order to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model).

Prior to arrival, all of our dogs are spayed/neutered (unless specified) and given shots for Rabies, Distemper DHPP, and Bordatella. They are tested for Heartworm, Lyme, Anaplasma, and Ehrlichia. They are dewormed at least twice and given a health check by the vet.
Most dogs will have a house training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken or crate trained.
Our adoption fee is $395 (including puppies) unless noted -- senior dogs are available for an adoption fee of $200.

We also update our
Facebook page
daily with new dogs.
